A completed jigsaw puzzle in a frame is shown. The puzzle is tipped from the frame and the frame handed to a child for safe keeping. The pieces are counted into a bag and the audience told that they will magically join together. After the magic spell is cast, the pieces, except for one, are shown to have disappeared. Where could they be? The children will soon suggest you look in the frame. The frame is shown and the jigsaw is back in place – but one piece is missing. The children will tell you to try the piece that did not vanish. You do and the jigsaw is complete.
