A great bit of business for the Children's Entertainer. Imagine a prop is not working or, at least, you pretend it is not working. You remove a brightly coloured spanner from your table or pocket and appear to tighten something up. This is accompanied by a loud ratchet noise much to the amusement of the children. Alternatively, you ask a child out from the audience and shake hands. You comment that their arm feels a bit loose and proceed to tighten up the shoulder joint using the spanner, accompanied by the ratchet noise and the noise of laughter from the children. The prop is only limited by your imagination. Tighten up a child’s ear, a balloon model, anything you like.
