Home Page Stop Press - New Releases September 2008 in time for Kidology and the IBM (British Ring) Conventions Rudolph’s Nose Rudolph alone (if you already have Card Shop or Gertrude) £15 Rudolph complete £40
A third routine (Based on ‘Rudolph the Reindeer’ from Poz’s book Poz-itive Kids Magic with some ideas from Val Mann (Mrs Tipsy)) for our very popular Card Shop/Gertrude set. You know the set up – you buy any one of the items and then you only need to buy the extra bits to do the extra effects.
Rudolph is in
his house. You remove the door to show him to the children but he has no nose.
You replace him in his house and wave a red silk but when you open the door he
has a green nose. You replace him again and wave the silk once more – this time
when you open the door he has a bright red nose. Sawing Barbi in Half £95
The Magician places a Barbi doll in a wooden box and appears to cut her in half using the saw provided. Two blades are pushed through the box and the two halves of the box moved apart. The boxes are put back together again, the blades removed and the lid opened. Barbi is removed and is shown to be fully restored. This can be done as a magic trick or, if you have a puppet, it can perform the trick to your amazement.
Legs table £200 or £220 (including Carry Bag)
I am pleased to offer the magic fraternity the Legs Table as featured by Tommy Cooper – originally produced by Jack Hughes many years ago. You all know the trick, the Magician picks up his table to move it forward. As he is carrying it the two front legs fall off (completely under your control). The Magician looks at a loss what to do until a pair of shapely legs drop from the front to support the table. Derek Lever has kindly agreed that I can produce a limited number of this prop so if you are interested in acquiring one please do not leave it too long.
Rabbit from Balloon £75 Rabbit Cage £85 I am often asked if I stock any rabbit productions. Whilst I have made many over the years I have not treated them as a stock item but I intend to rectify this. As a start I am introducing two old favourites – the production cage and Rabbit (or whatever) from balloon. Let me know what else you would like me to add to the range. Can You Do Sums £15
A small blackboard in shown along with a net bag holding numbers. A handful of numbers is removed and shown to contain various values. Two are chosen and put on the blackboard to form a sum. Children can now freely pull out numbers but they are not the correct value to complete the sum. However, at any point you can ensure that the child then choosing (the birthday child??) pulls out the correct number.
Complete with
small blackboard, stand, force bag and set of magnetic numbers. For Release at the IBM (British Ring) Convention 4 Coins in a Bag £15
A two phase routine. Phase 1 - The Magician removes an envelope from a velvet bag and tips four pre-decimal coins from it – a 3d bit, a penny, a silver penny and a half penny. A Spectator can examine the coins and lay them out in a row. The Magician says he has made a prediction and asks the Spectator to choose one of the coins. He then shows his prediction to prove that he knew all along which coin the Spectator would choose. (This part of the routine is based on an idea by Chris Wardle). Phase 2 – The four coins are dropped into the velvet bag and a 2p coin added. Five Spectators each take a coin from the bag in their clenched fist and you are able to divine which Spectator has the 2p.
This is Mel Mellers routine where a pile of cards depicting various countries’ flags are mixed up. The Magician removes the cards one at a time making up(?) a pun filled very entertaining story to fit the names of the countries as he goes. Not exactly magic but a great routine for stand up or compere work. Produced with the kind permission of Mel Mellers.
